About me
I have kept dogs and other pets for many years, enjoy being around them and I find it easy to be at one with them. A few years ago I decided to start my own business which quickly gained pace not only within the local community but nearby towns and villages.
Rescues, old, young and in between, I have always had a passion and love of dogs.
Caring and understanding your dog’s body language and behaviour will help create a strong bond and better two way communication.
I love being active and being outdoors. I enjoy paddle boarding, swimming and running among other things so I’ll have no trouble keeping up with your four legged friend!
help & solutions
TRAINING
For many of us, the reason we decide to get a dog, relates to fond memories of our childhood. We recall happy times during the Summer holidays and the fun filled enjoyment that can result from the addition of a four legged friend.
However, bringing a dog into the fold can bring with it a whole heap of trouble if you haven’t done your research and if you’re not well prepared for the changes to every day life a dog or puppy can bring.
Training starts from day one and is introduced into daily life to ensure your dog understands his/her place within the fold and that life continues as smoothly as possible - albeit with the odd hiccup here and there.
SOCIAL SKILLS
Socialising your dog as early as possible will teach him/her how to interact and respect other dogs they encounter. They can learn to calmly greet others, assess situations, respond in a positive way without unnecessary or unwanted behaviour and become a calm member of your team who clearly understands rules and boundaries.
You can start to socialise your dog at anytime but the earlier the better, but from the age of 8 weeks is a great time. Start as you mean to go on!
If you feel as though you’ve missed the boat don’t despair - it’s never too late to begin and once your dog gets the hang of how to respond to various situations they will become much more relaxed.
a walk in the park
Walks are a great way for your dog to get fresh air, exercise, stimulation and socialisation. Following on from your training sessions, I offer individual walks to help socialise your dog and enhance recall training, making sure your furry friend gets the most from the the great outdoors!
